Private buyers will be qualified for subsidies of up to €7,000 per vehicle. Authorities in small towns, as well as companies purchasing fleets to use them as taxis, could get even more.
“We’re electric, so we don’t have to worry about combustion engines producing toxic emissions – but that doesn’t mean our job is done,” says Polestar’s Head of Sustainability, Fredrika Klarén. “We will now work to eradicate all emissions stemming from production.”
By building the infrastructure, the Dutch government will make the transition to electric vehicles as seamless and painless as possible.

Bavarian carmaker BMW, owner of the iconic Mini range since 1994, plans solely electric versions from 2030, reported Der Spiegel magazine on Friday.
“We will no longer develop a new combustion engine, but will adapt our existing combustion engines to new emission guidelines.”
Seven Romanian cities and towns will receive the 131 zero-emission e-buses. The total value of the contract is almost €65 million.
